Ah look I chose de_rats as I remember it's the map that confuses the players the most, but ok bad example.
My logic for putting a vote is when u see 13v13 let's say and then unknown map has 8v8, in prime time makes no sense so there has to be an issue, at that point I put "Change map" vote and always when one team wins as to make no issue to gamplay. If u think people just press numbers and not look at it as they usually just press one, well, we can test that theory by putting a "dummy" vote on number 1 and then 2 and 3 to be yes and no and see what happens.
Case in point, two nights ago I have put Subzero, Bazzar and Austria which are let's say a bit less often played, people voted Subzero, and we went from 24 to 18 players....not a bad number but still lost 6 semi-regular players due to the maps not being Mirage, Cache, Inferno....
